i give this program a 5, because it is clean, simple, works does have a couple of things i can gripe about though.winrar will allow you to add an icon to the sfx extractor, plus show a license screen (handy for showing ahem, the serials of some programs that went freeware & have the key included).but tugzip doesn't allow you to change the icon of the sfx. in addition, doesn't seem to support totally silent sfx like winrar, but shows an extract slightly annoyed that it shows 3 possibilities for sfx package, but you can only use 1 because the other 2 are greyed out.but for zipping, unzipping, yada yada, works nice.would really love to see support for viewing sfx comments (so you can remember/change it in the future if you have to, like winrar), & the ability to change the icon of the sfx, plus a totally silent sfx.because sometimes you just want it to launch, say, a driver backup program with no dialogue.overall, good program, but would be better with these enhancements!

hate microsoft if you will, but until someone/anyone beats ms office, it will continue to rule. much like its windows 2003 counterpart, this is a very stable version. the new notebook view in word, the word processor, is a delightful rip-off of onenote for windows, a note-taking and organizing program. in situations where fast note-taking is essential ␔ lectures and interviews come to mind ␔ this view presents a tabbed on-screen notebook and keystrokes that make it easy to type an outline. best of all, if you click a record button, your microphone records the proceedings. later you can play back a certain audio segment just by clicking the corresponding spot in your notes.the other killer new feature is in powerpoint, the slide-show software that's loved or loathed by corporate presenters the world over. it's a new view called presenter tools, designed especially for laptops hooked up to projectors. in this mode, the audience sees only your projected slides. but on your laptop, you see a very different, private display. beneath a half-size version of each slide, you see your own notes; for the first time in powerpoint, you can cheat from a script without letting the audience catch wise. second, you see a timer, which keeps you from sabotaging your own pitch by running overtime. third, you see miniatures of the previous slide, your current slide and what's coming up next. no longer do you risk being just as surprised by the next slide as the audience. from the first time you use them, these tools translate into better pacing, better delivery and greater confidence. if you've used a mac for any time, then once a program does everything anybody could ever ask of it, adding more features like these is just icing on the icing. well worth the upgrade folks.

i recently purchased a nifty hp pavilion dm1 notebook. it came with windows 7 64 bit and it was doing just fine. then, a few days ago i made a very stupid move and downloaded the windows 8 pre-release evaluation. what i didn't know was that once downloaded win 8 can't be removed. i tried to bring it back to factory settings, but windows 8 wiped that out, as well as all other hp programs that came with the note book. as i write, my bluetooth still doesn't work.i had to find hp drivers for my notebook to try and bring back to standard. some of them work and some don't. since my hp notebook doesn't come with a dvd optical drive i had to order one and also had to order a recovery disk from hp. as soon as these items arrive, i'll be nuking win 8 and get back to using win 7, which when you don't have it, one knows how good it was in for win 8, it has some interesting do-dads. the start screen looks like my wife's lumia and quite frankly it sucks. to me it's gimicky and a bit childish. it gets in the way of doing what you want to do do with the computer. i could go on, but i've said enough. in short, i won't be shelling out any shekels for win 8, as it already has cost me a considerable amount of money attempting to get my new notebook back to its original condition. and yes, i was stupid.

a three meg file is quite a few .inf's, so i suspect itdoes not just contain the newer ones.previous editions of this have been useful to mebut if i run it on this laptop what's bios doesn'tallow 1920x1080 video output it will overwrite thecustomizations that have the laptop putting out1919x1080 video that looks perfect on my 1920x1080 second display.
